  • How to Operate Divewalker Equipment

    The Equipment

    1. Helmet –> 6 units
    2. Hose & reel –> 6 units
    3. Air banks –> 6 units of 15 litres/3,300 psi = 90 litres or 600 cf
    4. Panels and emergency tank on the boat –> 3 units each with 12 litres/3,000 psi = 36 litres, 240 cf
    5. Emergency Pony Tank (to be carried by the diver for emergency use underwater) –>6 cf/3,000 psi size
    6. Air panels –> 1 unit of 6 inlets
    7. Regulator panels for oxygen filling in the helmet –> 6 outlets

    How to prepare Dive Walker equipment:
    1. 6 units of air bank are connected to each air panels.
    2. 3 units of emergency tank are connected to each panel.
    3. Open the air panel one by one by the valve, so that the air pressure could be seen through the pressure controller placed by the air and regulator panels.
    4. Emergency tank which consists of 3 valves remain on closed position. 3 units of emergency tank only can be used for emergency.
    5. Check all regulator panels, whether the air supplies are functioning well or not. When all are functioning well, do the next step.
    6. Place each regulator one by one connected with the hose and helmet, then open the valve one by one to ensure the air gets inside the helmet. When all functions well, then close the valve again so the air would not be a waste.

  • Divewalker Equipment

    Wet Suit
    Wet suit or skin suit is special attire for dive walker activity to protect divers from jellyfish stung or other sea animals. How to use:

    1. Guest should wear swimsuit for easier use of wet suite.
    2. There are 2 kinds of wet suit: long sleeve with long leg size and short sleeve with short leg size with zippers at the back or in front. Please see carefully before putting it on.
    3. Put your legs first until it gets to the knee point, then put your arms in and pull the zipper up. This will be assisted by the guide.

    Emergency Pony Tank
    1. Small oxygen can, used for emergency situation both on and in the water.
    2. The can is placed on the right side of guest’s waist with Velcro for easier use during emergency situation. It’s placed vice versa if the guest is left handed.

    Booties
    Booties are special footwear for dive walker activity as feet protector from the corals and sea animals’ stung. How to use:
    1. Find the ones match to your feet size
    2. Put your feet in by pulling the booties until the ankle part
    3. Booties are placed right underneath wet suit pants

    Helmet
    Used as head protector against the sea water and as well as to keep the air when being underwater.

  • Emergency & Evacuation

    When there is an emergency situation like breath difficulty or lack of oxygen, do the following steps (could be done by guest or assisted by guide):

    1. Immediately take off your helmet by holding the bottom part of the helmet with two hands and hold your breath for a while. This will be assisted by guide.
    2. Leave the helmet out and pull the regulator (Octopus) from the Emergency Pony Tank on your right side, put it on your mouth and start breathing with your mouth.
    3. You will be guided up to the surface slowly by the guide with maximum time limit of 15 minutes. The oxygen from the Emergency Pony Tank is only limited for up to 15 minutes.
    4. The other anticipation action is that every guide you are with also has the octopus with the same function as the one from the Emergency Pony Tank.
    5. When you are panicking, you will be guided up to the surface immediately.
