Q. How long is the Divewalker Adventure?
A. The entire Divewalker Adventure is conducted in approximately one hour.Divewalker was purposely developed for those who would like to safely explore underwater without the investment of precious vacation time in specialized training. The Divewalker program includes the following:A. Pre-Trek Presentation / Orientation Approximately 10 minutes Underwater Exploring Approximately 25 minutes Memories: For a Lifetime
Q. How safe is Divewalker?A. For 18 years, Sub Sea Systems has set the standard for participant safety in the aquatic attraction industry - and that commitment to safety extends to every aspect of the Divewalker experience. Some noteworthy safety features of the Divewalker Helmet Diving System include: 3 times the amount of air needed for normal breathing is delivered to the helmet; Sub Sea Systems has conducted over 1 million incident-free experiences to date; all tours are led by trained Divewalker professionals; to further enhance the safety aspect of the experience, Divewalker is conducted in depths of less than thirty feet.
Q. How do you breathe and is it difficult?
A. Breathing in a Divewalker diving helmet is no different from how you breath every day.
Q. What equipment do I wear?
A. A bathing suit is all you need. At certain Divewalker locations a wetsuit and/or booties will be provided for your added comfort and protection.Q. What if I become uncomfortable below the surface?
A. Our primary goal is to see that you have a safe and enjoyable experience. A certified Divewalker Guide is always nearby and your air supply is constantly monitored. This activity is conducted at your level of comfort.
Q. Will there be a guide on my Divewalker Adventure?A. Always - but not just a guide - a thoroughly trained and certified Divewalker Guide and at least one safety diver in scuba. Q. What about the pressure build-up in my ears?
A. Equalizing is done the same way you would on an airplane. You can yawn, swallow, and even reach inside your Divewalker helmet to equalize pressure changes at various depths.
Q. Can I wear my prescription glasses with the Divewalker helmet on?
A. Yes, you can wear your prescription glasses, contact lenses, or even your sunglasses if you want to look cool during your underwater excursion.
Q. What will I see on my Divewalker adventure?
A. Divewalker adventures are unique to their location. Depending on the site, tours are conducted in open ocean or in a controlled aquarium environment. Open ocean tours can be conducted from shore, platform, or boat while aquarium tours typically take place in an enhanced environment.
